BOOKING A GP, NURSE OR HCA APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE

Did you know we have some selected non urgent GP appointments that you can book up to 1 week in advance, and up to 4 weeks in advance for Nurse and HCA appointments?  If you don’t need your appointment on the day please ask to book in advance instead.  Thank-you.

NURSING TEAM

As some of you may be aware there on occasion have been a shortage of Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointments, through various circumstances.  The Practice is therefore happy to announce two new members of staff will be joining the team.  Sister Diane Kempen will be starting with us at the beginning of September as a Practice Nurse and Janice Walmsley has already commenced as a Health Care Assistant.  We wish them a long and happy time here at Longton.

Baby and Immunisation Clinic – change of day docbaby

From 1st September 2010 this clinic will be held on a Wednesday and not a Tuesday.  Can we also remind Mums and Dads to try and come on the appointment day and time given in the invitation rather than just turn up.  If you attend without an appointment you may have a longer wait.  Thankyou

Dr Williams – Maternity Leave

Dr Willams has now started her Maternity Leave and we wish her good luck with everything that is to come.  Whilst Dr Williams is on leave we are happy to welcome Dr Mallik to the practice who will be covering her role. Dr Mallik has previously worked in St Annes nr Lytham and hopes to settle around this area in the future.

KEEPING YOUR REPEAT PRESCRIPTION SLIPpillpacket

This is your personal record of your medication and is the most accurate way of ordering your repeat prescription.  It can be used either to refer to when ordering on line, to hand in or post to the surgery or place an order through your local pharmacy.

Please keep it safe!
