Patient Reference Group at
Longton Health Centre
The group has being set up to gauge patient opinion on the services we offer, and look at how we can direct services in the future towards our patients needs. This is not a group to look at patients personal complaints, rather engaging the whole community in matters that are important to you and how we can adapt our services to meet those needs both now and in the future
Any patient within the practice is welcome to apply. We would would like to attract a wide range of patients from all age groups and ethnic backgrounds, to make the group a success
VIRTUAL GROUP
We realise that some patients will find it difficult to attend the surgery for meetings and therefore would also like to set up a "Virtual Group" where we would contact you by email instead for your thoughts and opinions, and feedback.
JOINING
If you are interested in joining the group please use the contact box above, or alternatively you can fill out one of the application forms at reception.
The Practice Manager - Wendy McCrone will contact you within due course regarding your application.
Thank you for your time

Patient Reference Group
Chairman’s Update: January 2012
As many of you will be aware the Patient Reference Group has been meeting with the doctors to discuss practice developments and following the recent questionnaire you have signalled that the 0800 phone number was the main concern.
There is no easy answer to this as there are pros and cons with whatever system is in place. However we have discussed the concerns with the doctors and due to meet them again in February to hopefully agree an Action Plan to address the problems.
We will keep you informed and, in the meantime, would welcome any other ideas you may have to develop the services at the practice.
