The practice nurses work in close liaison with the doctors. They conduct their own surgeries and carry out routine blood tests, holiday vaccinations and other immunisations, ECGs, blood pressure checks, cervical smear tests, chronic disese clinics and Healthy Heart Checks, dressings and removal of stitches. They will also offer help and advice on diet, exercise, healthy living, family planning etc. Appointments with the nurses are made via the receptionists by telephoning 0844 477 3530 or calling at the surgery.

The receptionists are fully trained and have a very difficult job to do. Please remember that if you are kept waiting or are asked some apparently irritating questions, this is due to our policy aimed towards the smooth and safe running of the practice. We need to ascertain the urgency of some requests and sometimes have to spend longer with a patient than was first anticipated. Please be patient.
